There are 29 new cases of COVID-19 in Steuben today. Thankfully, 26 more have recovered. As COVID-19 continues to spread in Steuben County, it is especially important for anyone who has visited any of the noted locations without wearing a mask for an extended period of time to be extra vigilant about monitoring for symptoms. All known contacts to positives are quarantined. However, in some instances there could be people who have been in contact with or in the same area as... a positive for a prolonged time that are unknown to the individual and could have been exposed. Our next report will be on Monday. Have a healthy and safe weekend. Use all COVID-19 prevention strategies.

10 new cases of COVID-19 in Steuben today. Thankfully, 3 more have recovered. Parts of Steuben County remain in the yellow zone. We need the community’s help to continue to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Reduced spread is the only way we can be released from the yellow zone and make sure we do not increase clusters across the county. Continue to follow all prevention strategies: wear your mask, social distance, stay home and get tested if feeling ill, and keep social circles small.

17 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Steuben today. Thankfully, 35 more have recovered. COVID-19 continues to spread in Steuben County quickly. By the time someone gets tested, they could have come in contact with more than a dozen people. Although it makes sense to see that most of our new cases have had contact with known positives, that does not mean the spread is slowing at the moment. You could have already come in contact with someone who will get tested, therefore making you a contact unknowingly. Please take extra precautions during this time of high spread.

74 more have tested positive for COVID-19 over the weekend and today. Thankfully, 35 more have recovered. COVID-19 is still circulating in the area. To protect your loved ones and slow the spread of COVID-19, you may want to consider getting tested if you feel ill, have participated in any large gatherings recently, have been in contact with someone who has tested positive or work in a location where others have tested positive. Remember, it can take up to 14 days for the virus to develop after exposure, so testing negative shortly after one of the noted activities may not mean you will stay negative.

There are 14 new cases of COVID-19 for Steuben today. Sadly, another county resident has passed. Thankfully, 29 more have recovered. Following prevention practices is so important because you don’t know when and if you could come into contact with someone who does not yet know that they are positive. Wear your masks. Stay at least six feet away from those outside your household. To protect others, stay home if you’re feeling ill. Our next report will be on Monday. Have a safe and healthy weekend.

There are 23 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Steuben today. Sadly, we learned of 6 more deaths today from Corning Center that occurred between September 30 - October 17. Thankfully, 99 more have recovered. Today’s new cases are more than double yesterday’s number.
