The Hallway at Second Street Studios is excited to announce our second open call for artists to submit artwork to be considered for future exhibitions. All mediums will be considered including drawing, painting, photography, digital media, printmaking, fiber arts and sculptural and 3D work on a limited basis APPLICATIONS MUST INCLUDE: - Artists may submit up to 4 works (JPEG format) (LASTNAME_FIRSTNAME_TITLEOFWORK) - Please include image list - Title of work, dimensions, mate...rial, year, price - Bio and Statement (no longer than 250 words) CV/resume if applicable - Website/Social Media handle - Email application to: [email protected] - 2D work may not exceed 48 in any direction and must be ready to hang - 3D work may not extend more than 1’ off the wall, no freestanding sculptures will be accepted at this time There is no fee to submit work, and as always, we will not take commission on sale of artwork. We do however ask for $20 hanging fee from accepted artists for the first piece and $10 for each addition piece. Artists are not limited by residence, however artists living in upstate NY are especially encouraged to submit work. Artists who we feel are pushing their mediums and creating work that is relevant and exciting will also be taken in consideration. Artwork must be submitted by Saturday, March 20th 2021. Artists will be contacted by Thursday, April 1st about acceptance into our group exhibition scheduled for Troy Night Out - Friday April 30th. Work not selected for this exhibition will be considered for future group or solo exhibitions. GOOD LUCK!

2020 has been a year to say the least.. but there is so much to be thankful for - like opening our space one year ago! We have hosted 6 in person exhibitions and 4 virtual exhibitions featuring some amazing local artists. It was truly inspiring seeing a community develop around our little alternative art space hub. Thank you to everyone who was involved behind the scenes in making these shows happen - friends, family and volunteers! We do not know what 2021 will bring but we know there will be art, and lots of it. Happy New Year from Second Street Studios!

Reminiscing...
