NOTICE TO ANYONE WHO WON AN AUCTION ITEM. You may have received a note from eBay saying your item had been removed. This was apparently some sort of snafu with eBay that they couldn't exactly understand themselves. I just wanted to let everyone know, everything is fine. You just may not be able to see the listing page on eBay anymore.... Thanks, everyone.
Now that all the auctions have officially closed, we would like to thank everyone for participating in our "Virtual" Animal Art Expo. We hope everyone got the painting they were hoping for !! As you can imagine, we're going to have a lot of people picking up paintings, at one time. To facilitate the pick-up process we're going to schedule a couple pick-up days.... We will be at the front of the zoo, outside the front gate on: Tuesday, Oct. 20 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm Thursday, Oct. 22 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm If you can not make it to one of these times, don't worry, we will have other opportunities. Please do not call the zoo, as they will not be able to answer your questions. If you have a question you can message us here or email us at [email protected] THANK YOU ALL !!
With all the activity, this week, we almost missed National Veterinary Technician Week. Veterinary technicians are critical to the day-to-day function of veterinary practices... and yes zoos. They play vital roles in preserving animal health and welfare. National Veterinary Technician Week provides an opportunity to recognize veterinary technicians’ contributions. We would like to recognize our own Vet Tech Extraordinaire, Robin English for her compassion and dedication to th...e care and wellbeing of all our animals, here at the Seneca Park Zoo. Here's to you, Robin !!!
AND THE WINNER IS ?????
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO ENTERED OUR QUILT GIVEAWAY. The entry period has now closed. Be sure to check in tomorrow as we do the big drawing. Don't forget, bidding on the artwork auctions is still going on... but start closing tomorrow morning. Don't miss out !!!
For those of you who are entered into our drawing for the amazing animal quilt, made for us by the Rochester Modern Quilt Guild, here's a video you might be interested in. As we hung the quilt, I took a few minutes to chat with Rachel Monfredo, who helped coordinate the project. I learned a few things about quilting. Don't forget, it's not too late to enter our drawing. We draw the winner, Saturday morning. Check our Facebook page for all the details.
IT'S BONUS AUCTION TIME !!! As part of our ongoing Animal Art Expo we have two more very special auctions to announce. These auctions are not for paintings... exactly. These auctions are for personal painting sessions. You'll actually be able to be present when your painting is being made. At 7:00 PM tonight there will be two new auctions posted. A personal painting session with our AFRICAN PENGUINS and a personal painting session with one of our AFRICAN ELEPHANTS.... This is a once in a lifetime opportunity... don't miss out. These two auctions will be THREE DAYS ONLY and will end at 7:00 PM Friday night. Follow our page for reminders.
One of the paintings up for auction in our annual art sale is a painting of Katya, made by local artist Cal Rubright. Here's a really cool timelapse of Cal making this painting. Would you like to bid on this painting? Check it out here: https://www.ebay.com//Painting-of-Katya-the-/284040374445
Just a reminder to all our animal fans... Auctions for animal artwork are going live all day. New auctions posted every 10 minutes and will be live for 7 days (Unless someone Buys-it-Now) Check it out !!!
ARE YOU READY ?? This is a reminder to all our friends that this Saturday begins our Virtual Animal Art Expo. Here are some details you will need to know. Animal Artwork will be available online for auction. High bidder wins. Each auction will have a starting bid and include a "Buy it Now" which will end the auction immediately.... Auctions will be hosted by eBay. To bid, you will need an eBay account. If you don't have one already, it only takes a few minutes. Go to ebay.com to sign up. Auctions will begin to go live at 9:00 AM EST on Saturday, Oct. 10 -- New auctions will appear at approximately 10 minute intervals, throughout the day. All auctions (unless ended early with "Buy it Now") will go for 7 days. Auction start times are staggered so that they are not ending at the same time. This will be important if you happen to be bidding on multiple items. Artwork can be picked up at the Seneca Park Zoo, at no charge. Artwork can also be shipped anywhere in the continental US (Buyer pays shipping costs). All auctions ended with "Buy it Now" must be paid for immediately. Payments can be made online using debit, credit, or PayPal. If you prefer to pay in cash, payment can be made at the time of pickup. For out of town bidders, all items must be paid in full before the item can ship. Included with each animal artwork will be a 5x7 framable bio of the animal that created your art and a Certificate of Authenticity from the Seneca Park Zoo AAZK Chapter. Please be aware, you are bidding on artwork made by actual animals. Some pieces may include dirt, straw, and leaves... no extra charge. How would you like to win a free entry into our drawing for the SPZ animal quilt. All you need to do is share our Art Expo posts with your friends and each night we'll pick a name at random. (Only one free entry per person). If your Facebook page can only be seen by "Friends" we can not see your "Shares". Let us know you shared our post through Messager and we'll add you to the list. Got a question about our Art Expo, eBay, or AAZK. Feel free to post it here or message us. BE SURE TO LIKE AND FOLLOW OUR FACEBOOK PAGE FOR FUTURE UPDATES.
Would you like to see our Animal-Themed quilt in person? For the next two weeks, it will be displayed in the Rocky Coast gallery at the Seneca Park Zoo. Check it out !!!
