The Seneca River crew was returning to the station at around 3:24 a.m. when it came upon a fire in a vacant house just four doors from the station.

Tough 3:30 am knockdown, and re kindle at 11, thanks for the multiple fire agencies that came to our aid after a long night. Last night was a true testament to community support and the importance of our volunteer fire services.

The Seneca River Fire Department, wants to reassure the community that we are still operating at full capacity and responding as normal. However, if you call 911, our dispatch center, may ask a few more screening questions prior to dispatching , to be sure we are taking the proper precautions prior to making contact with a patient. Be safe and stay home, so we can all be together soon.:-)

We are saddened to share that our brother firefighter John Marsala lost his courageous battle with cancer this morning. We are sending our deepest and most hea...rtfelt condolences to Stacy, Karstin, John III, and his entire family, and we ask you to please keep them in your thoughts today. Rest in Peace John, we'll take it from here.
