Brewster the Rooster, aka #schohariecountybeveragetrail mascot, has flown his coop and landed at the brewery. He has quickly found his favorite independent craft beers made at the brewery and other wonder NYS beverages. Open this weekend, Friday 12-8, Saturday 12-8, and Sunday 12-6. Stop by and see what Brewster has to crow about.

We currently have 49 active cases of COVID-19 in Schoharie County and 301 people in quarantine. We have now had 275 cases total. We are averaging approximately ...10 cases per day and have had 63 cases in the last 7 days. That means that 23% of our TOTAL local cases have come in the past 7 days. We have had several additional hospitalizations but I can't tell you the exact number right now, just that we have had some pretty sick people. We still have only 2 deaths. The state dashboard reports a 7 day rolling average positivity rate for Schoharie County of 6.1%, while our region (Mohawk Valley) is 7.4%, and New York State is 2.9%. Yesterday's positivity rate for Schoharie County was 11.8%. Some of you may be wondering how the number of cases in the last seven days can be higher than our current active case count. We often don't get positive test results to put people into isolation until a person has already been sick for 5 or more days. Often they've already been self-isolating while waiting for test results. As you make plans for the holidays, please do so with only the people who live in the same place that you do. Frankly, bringing family that you don't live with together, even if it is kept to the current 10 person limit for private gatherings, is a bad idea. We've heard from several people that they really regret the choices that they made to celebrate Thanksgiving or otherwise get together with friends and family. If you do get together with friends and family, don't serve food or drinks, wear your masks while you visit, clean your hands and high touch surfaces frequently, monitor your family for symptoms, and get tested if you need to.

It is with great sadness that we share JoJo’s post. We have enjoyed the time that they have been with us. They brought quality food and service to the brewery. As a new business they were off to a awesome start and then COVID struck. We hope that you will stop to see their food truck once they are out and about, or stop by this weekend to give them well wishes. hopefully we will see their truck at the brewery if the town changes the laws to allow food trucks. As the pandemic ...is now in the second wave, we have been wrestling with our plans for conducting business during the second wave. We are currently planning regular hours for this weekend, then we will switch to to-go service with limited hours. Stay tuned as we are playing things by ear now. After the weekend we will have items put out that will make great stocking stuffers or great gifts. Thank you for your support, and stay well. Online orders can be placed at www.toasttab.com/serious-brewing-co or call the brewery at 518-826-4050.
