Momma Onyx and her seven sons #fivedaysold

We have a quick update to share on Ella. We are still pinching ourselves to see if we are awake this update is so good. Ella has stabilized and the vet team atTexas A&M Small Animal Hospital have given her hope. Ella was sent to 3 vet hospitals this past Monday. The er hospital transferred her to a critical care hospital and she was given a 1% chance of survival after an overnight stay. She’s just a baby at 2 years old herself at most. We decided to give her every chance p...ossible no matter how slim. Tuesday night Her foster mom picked her up and drove her over 3.5 hours all the way to college Station to get a 4th opinion. The cardiologists have worked their magic and Ella is more alert and feeling better. She had another ultrasound this morning and the fluid in her abdomen and lungs is even less today then yesterday. This is all so good to hear. She’s off oxygen and her breathing is comfortable at rest. We still don’t know what Ellas long term and short term prognosis is. It’s a waiting game to see how much of her heart will recover from the heart worms. She is still at risk of developing more clots. But today she’s out of the woods enough to be able to go home soon on medications. Given her prognosis 24 hours ago we are elated at knowing she has a chance. We want to thank everyone for their out pouring off love and kindness for Ella. Nothing short of a miracle got her to this point. Your thoughts and prayers worked. We want to thank everyone for their generosity at helping us cover her medical costs. 4 vets with 2 hospitals at critical care level is costly. Ella is worth it. She’s been through so much in her life and she deserves this opportunity. We will post another update very soon. Thank you again so much. We are truly grateful.

Daisy aka now Aspen is adopted. She came all the way from the midland shelter in Texas to meet her new family. This little peanut has a great life headed her way in beautiful college town Ithaca. We are so happy for her. Thank you to her awesome foster family in Texas, the Robinson’s and to her new family , the Cruz’s for giving her such a great life

Cowboy Joe is adopted . This cute little fella made his way from Texas this weekend to meet his forever family. He was one of 17 dogs in a rural shelter without the ability to care for them. All the dogs were saved that day along with Joe thanks to 2 rescues. We are so happy we could help. Thanks to the Jensen family for being such fantastic Fosters in Texas. We couldn’t do it without you. Thank you to the Jones family for adopting Our little cowboy. We can’t wait to see what’s in store for him.

We are asking everyone to please send positive thoughts and prayers for Ella. She has taken a turn for the worse this week and is in heart failure. She’s just a baby herself at barely 2 years old. She’s a victim of heart worm disease and the damage to her heart is severe. We are doing everything we can. The fluid has been tapped and she was able to be off oxygen for a few hours. She is back on it again though. Her kidneys are failing. She is in critical care. Her prognosis is grim and we are truly heartbroken. We are hoping for a miracle right now. Please send prayers her way. It would take a miracle at this point to save her.

Happy Tuesday. Chester is adopted Party. He made his way to NY Sunday with his siblings. He’s off with his dad and his new family. Thanks to his foster Suzanne and to the Dietzman family for adopting our little Chester
