THANK YOU to everyone who participated in our recent pilot study! We quickly reached our maximum number of participants and now we're going through all of the feedback that we received. We plan to refine our questions based on your feedback and then we'll launch the full version of the study. Stay tuned!

Are you attracted to MORE THAN ONE GENDER (e.g., bisexual, pansexual, queer)? Psychology researchers (Drs. Joanne Davila, Christina Dyar, & Brian Feinstein) are conducting a small study in preparation for a larger one. We want your feedback on questions we plan to ask in the larger study. Your feedback will help us create our final survey, which we hope will provide useful information about the lived experiences of diverse bisexual and other non-monosexual individuals. We're ...interested in understanding if and how bisexual and other non-monosexual individuals make their sexual orientation visible to others in their day-to-day lives. We plan to use what we learn to help increase awareness of sexual diversity, reduce stigma, and promote the well-being of bisexual and other non-monosexual individuals. Our study is informed by previous research, feedback from bisexual and non-monosexual individuals, and the experiences of our team (which includes bisexual individuals). *You must be at least 18 years old and attracted to more than one gender to participate. Participation involves completing an online survey, which will take approximately 15-20 min. After completing the survey, you'll be offered a $5 Amazon gift card to thank you. Participation is VOLUNTARY & ANONYMOUS. This means you can quit at any time and your name will not be linked to your responses. If you decide to participate, please click on the link below and read the informed consent document. After reading, you can go on to complete the survey if you’re still interested. This project has been approved by the Stony Brook University IRB; for additional information about this approval, contact the Stony Brook University IRB office at 631-632-9036.
