HOME GYMS are becoming the norm in this industry. As a community we have to keep to the program and we won’t let anyone tell us we can’t reach our goals. @kompftrainingsystems and I are enjoying the process of building our new home, and we knew that we needed space to get the work done. Stay safe New York New equipment coming soon! STAY TUNED. This week I am reopening my training after a hiatus of 6 months starting with ONLINE programming. Includes a 4 week flexible training plan. We’ve heard it before, recovery is the most important.. for overall performance. What does ample recovery look like though? SLEEP The average adult needs about 7-8 hours of uninterrupted sleep. This means that quality sleep is defined by being able to fall and stay asleep. HYDRATION Making sure that you’re balanced in electrolytes and water intake will allow your body to function optimally during recovery.... NUTRITION What to eat after and intense workout? Whole- plentiful- nutritionally dense foods. STRESS Allow yourself to be human. Find ways to cope with your physical and mental stress to pull it all together, reading, listening, meditation are a few options! Recover. It’s what makes you stronger!

Super Set: 4x5 chain loaded pushups 4x8 chest supported rows with 3s hold, 3s ecc. Following @14zambjt’s strength program and crushing this upper body day. Use the chains to add as a variation to strengthen your core, as you load up, the start/top position is at the heaviest and challenging your core to keep form. As you defend, the chain lightens up as it could on the floor. ... Love using chains for pushups, bridges, and as a variable for tons of workouts!

When looking at progressing in strength, @_katherinethe5th felt like she needed a little guidance. Like some, Katie was ready to learn new movements and proper form but had a completely different lifting schedule from my traditional training times. What worked for her was following a 4 week strength program specifically created for her. Following a program no only give you direction for the gym but it also can show a person how they can recognize progress. Strength training serves many purposes for all different people. We can agree that resistance training is important when done with proper instruction and with purpose. But what are the benefits to strength training other than getting swole? Building muscle takes time and consistent effort. There’s thousands of exercises that you can to to accomplish specific goals. Building muscle in general will help keep your joints and ligaments in working order, especially as you age as l...ong as form is a priority. Strength training can help your cardiovascular system also. It allows blood flow to certain muscle groups to help you perform well. Specify your training and you shall receive. If you’re looking into more fat loss, consider the fact that as you build muscle, your BMR increases. Overall your metabolic functions become more efficient and you’re able to use stored fat.
