Evening Folks! Quick update from the staff here at Sherwood Forest: We're ARE open! Just in case anybody was unsure, these are strange times after-all. Things are a little different due to new and changing COVID-19 requirements, but we think we've got a great handle on the "new normal".... Our units are all individual, fully self sufficient, private units. They're individual cabins with their own parking. They get cleaned and disinfected prior to any check-in, and again 24hrs after a check-out. Due to this we aren't accepting single night stays, it just isn't safe or realistic. We have also suspended housekeeping for the duration of stays at this time. It should also be noted that we disinfect our office area after each visitor. **!!** We encourage visitors to book for multiple nights. STAY SIX NIGHTS AND GET YOUR SEVENTH NIGHT FREE! **!!** Many of our rooms offer full kitchens, and there are also a plethora of local restaurants offering both sit-down service and take-out. Grocery stores are plentiful. All units have cable TV, heat and hot water. Some units have wood burning fireplaces, and firewood is available on-site for an additional charge. Many units have decks on the water. When you visit: - We encourage you to complete payment over the phone. We CAN leave a key in your room for you. - Please respect our office staff and wear a mask inside the office AT ALL TIMES. We cannot stress this enough. Fun socially distant things to do while you're here: - Fish license-free on our private lake! - Enjoy our lake in a row-boat or canoe! - Walk our 100+ acres of lovely quiet woodlands! - Visit our local brewery within walking distance, or our local ice cream stand! - Explore all Lake Placid, Saranac Lake, and surrounding areas have to offer!
