Stork's Nest at Harlem Hospital 30.01.2021

We are thrilled to announce that the Five Pearls Foundation will be joining over 100 Partner Organizations and Dr. Fauci for a meaningful dialogue on Covid-19 ...vaccines. We are proud to raise awareness and reinforce transparency to the communities and initiatives we support. As the pandemic continues to unfold and disproportionately impact vulnerable communities, it is more important than ever that we remain at the forefront of the latest developments and innovations to combat the challenges. We invite you to join us on this journey. #ZphiBSNZ #HarlemZetas #ZetasGetEngaged #HarlemStorksNest #maternalhealth #givingback #givingbacktothecommunity #nyszetasgetengaged#FivePearlsFoundation #COVID19 #vaccinecovid19 #vaccineawareness See more

Imagine after years in the foster care system you are thrust out in the world at age 18 with nowhere to go. You are working a minimum wage job while going to s...chool. Now imagine you find out you are pregnant, and it's a pandemic. You have no support, and very few resources. You barely feed yourself, and now there is another mouth to feed. Imagine after years of being trafficked, you find out you're pregnant. You are living in a shelter, and you have no friends or family to help you. What's more, you have no idea how to take care of yourself, much less another human being. Imagine, a young couple just finishing high school who just found out they are pregnant, while trying to apply to college. They have no way to pay for baby items without dropping out of school. Imagine if you are 8 months pregnant, and the first (and possibly only) meal of the day for you is when you go to your Stork's Nest session at 4pm. Imagine if the cost of a round-trip metrocard prevents you from going to a doctor's appointment. Imagine if you had to choose between paying for a cell phone, and eating lunch for a week while you are 6 months pregnant. These are just some of the issues our participants face. They are usually on the edge of poverty, working poor, victims of sexual trafficking and/or assault, teenage moms, or domestic abuse survivors. All in need of the supplies and prenatal education we provide. Our team is primarily made up of volunteers, so 95% of the money raised goes towards baby supplies, education such as infant CPR classes, meals during classes. This pandemic has exacerbated their situations and made it even more dire. This year, we would like to add grocery gift cards, healthy cooking instruction, and postpartum support to our program. Your contribution will make all the difference to a pregnant mom in need. #ZphiBSNZ #HarlemZetas #ZetasGetEngaged #HarlemStorksNest #GivingTuesday #givingback #givingbacktothecommunity #givingTuesday2020 #GivingTuesdayNow #GivingTuesdayNow2020 #amazon #nyszetasgetengaged #donatetoday #donatenow #momsinneed #FivePearlsFoundation

It's so important that we share our stories because we all have one. The journey to motherhood can be challenging for some but doesn't mean there isn't hope. #motherhood #blackmaternalhealth #healthymom #healthybaby #motherstobe #momstobe #parenthood
