Silver Maple Stained Glass

I'm normally not a big fan of copper patina, but I thought it would go well with the darker red heart. Thoughts?

"Barn Plates" 15.5" x 34 3/4" (or 34 3/4" x 15.5" depending on how you hang it)... I picked these plates up at the The Red Barn last summer. I remember picking one up and looking at it with light shining through; immediately knowing I wanted to create a piece to highlight them. I think the blue water glass is perfect. I placed hooks on two sides so it can by hung vertically or horizontally. Not my typical piece, but I've been thinking about it for months so had to get it out of my brain and onto a window. :)

I got these plates last summer at The Red Barn in Visit Northville/Northampton, NY . I really loved how the light was coming through them. I drew the pattern up several months ago, but am just now getting to this simple piece. I've always been a fan of cobalt blue and I think this water glass texture will really highlight the design of the plates. We'll see how the end product looks in a couple days. Unfortunately, I don't think we are supposed to have any sunlight up here for at least another week!! Lol
