Traditionally we have been taught today is THE day of the year to give thanks. However due to the pandemic we are being given the opportunity to spend it differently than in the past. This appears to be hard for so many for a multitude of different reasons. In the rooms for people who feel/felt triggered by holidays to drink/get high we are taught it’s just another day. And no matter how people choose to see it otherwise, today is truly that, just another Thursday. And if ...you want to go deeper the true origins of the Pilgrims and Native Americans is horrific and I’m actually happy to not honor a holiday that was built on a foundation of lies and atrocities. Saying 2020 has been hard would be an understatement. It has been a year of chronic trauma, stress, grief and challenge to every conditioned thought, belief, concept, tradition. And for many being told how to live, with whom and how to celebrate feels like a violation of their rights (side note I find it so ironic that so many who are enraged about having their rights taken away today are many of the same people who support the civil and human rights of others being dismantled but I digress). The truth is we don’t need one day to be set aside to be with loved ones, to give thanks and to be grateful. We can choose to practice gratitude everyday regardless of where we are, who we are with and what is going on in our world. Most especially this year has given me the opportunity to truly reassess everything in my life and begin to make major shifts so that it truly feels like a life beyond my wildest dreams that is worth living. I am grateful for the lessons, the love, the loss and hopeful for what’s to come. I wish the same for each and everyone of you. Everyday can be Thanksgiving if we choose to make it so. #selfcare #selflove #wellness #wellbeing #shadowwork #acim #mindbodysoul #selfhealers #selfcompassion #innerwork #traumarecovery #acoarecovery #spiritualgrowth #release #breathwork #meditation #reiki #mindfulness #gratitude #yoganidra #consciousparenting #resilience #peace #kundalini #reparenting #efttapping #holistichealing #holisticpsychotherapist #integrativepsychotherapist

Riley’s bedroom is quickly becoming my most favorite room in the house thanks to her decorative style which encompasses all the comfy, cozy yet stylish vibes. I began putting this distressed wood wall up Sunday evening and very quickly learned 1) I despise using a miter box and saw, 2) finishing nails meant for use in a nail gun can be cut to be used individually and hammered by hand, 3) liquid nails can suck it as their name is false advertising, 4) My masculine and femin...ine energies are completely out of sync. I have been right side body dominant for most, if not all of my life. If you know anything about masculine and feminine energy and the body you know as humans we encompass both. Left side = feminine, right side = masculine. Currently almost every major energy state in my masculine energy is injured in some way. My ribs (heart chakra) are constricted which makes lateral expansion and true diaphragmatic breathing difficult, which means no matter how many breathing exercises I do I’m always in my sympathetic nervous system. My deep breaths are shallow and stay stuck within my upper chest. My mid back (solar plexus) and lower back (sacral) are jammed up and stuck in rigid connective movements rather than freely moving independently of each other. My right hip (root chakra) has a band that expands down to my knee which when moved in the wrong way like kneeling or squatting sends me into such excruciating pain I’ve literally met Jesus a few times these last few weeks. In the past (haha who am I kidding, as recently as yesterday) I have been prone to bouts of frustration saying my body is betraying me and as a divorced, one parent household I’m afraid of what I can and cannot do for myself and my children while living in chronic pain and anticipatory anxiety of acute pain being triggered. However with the help of coaches like @bewellandwander, @strengthslife and @mikestella_atc I’m surrendering to the process and leaning more into my divine feminine energy while listening to what they and universe is telling me through my body, emotions and energy by consciously bringing awareness, ease and grace into all my experiences.

I’m super excited about all these goodies I’ll be adding to our days to continue to support and strengthen our emotional and mental resilience, coping and regulation skills, growth, abundance and gratitude mindset, and body autonomy all while increasing our spiritual connection to Source and each other. We also have some super fun National Geographic gold, gemstone and fossil digging expeditions not pictured that we will be diving into for our earth science and geology lesson...s. Homeschooling is truly one of the best decisions I have ever made for our family and it only getting better everyday! #lovemesomelogie #lovemyrileygirl #youmakemefeelsuperhappy #adventuresinhomeschooling #spiritjunkie #theuniversehasyourback #superattractor #biglifejournal #naturejournal #gratitudejournal #betweenmomandme #justbetweenus #justbreathe #justfeel #icandohardthings #findyourpower #findyourhappy #listeningtomybody #incrediblicrobiome #drawtheworld #meditation #mindfulness #selfcare

Yay! It’s that time of year again for Thankful November! Even though we are moving away from the fantasy story of what we had been told the first thanksgiving in this country looked like, I haven’t been able to pull myself away from these thankful turkeys yet and honestly may never. This is my take on Thankful November. Every day of the month I add a feather with something I admire, love, am thankful for about each of my children. ... Although I remind them all the time how thankful I am for them and that being their momma is the honor and privilege of my life I think it’s always nice to have a tangible piece of art to see it all together. And so far each year they get super excited each morning to see what I have written about them. They also learn through living the power of being thankful and grateful for who and what we have in our lives. It’s such a simple act with profound, positive, life changing results. #thankfulnovember #selfcare #selflove #wellness #wellbeing #shadowwork #acim #mindbodysoul #selfhealers #selfcompassion #innerwork #traumarecovery #acoarecovery #spiritualgrowth #release #breathwork #meditation #reiki #mindfulness #gratitude #yoganidra #consciousparenting #resilience #peace #kundalini #reparenting #efttapping #holistichealing #holisticpsychotherapist #integrativepsychotherapist
