This is a dream spot for morning coffee. Especially on a day like today I am loving the simplicity of this space, allowing for the city skyline to make a statement of its own

I did not paint it, but if I could... I would have! ...and if on the other side of the street I would paint my daughter and son’s names!

The city is filled with hidden treasures. This one is a winning combination. Gorgeous renovation. Staged to perfection. Rich in history. 11 West 12th Street. In the early 1960s, after the Macmillan building became the Forbes building, Malcolm S. Forbes bought the house from the Macmillan family. Throughout both the Macmillan and Forbes periods it was the scene of dazzling entertainment, attended by names like David Niven, Elizabeth Taylor, Margaret Thatcher, and the Reagans. Butterfield, @maisonduchocolat or @ladureeus I am truly not sure who has the best hot chocolate. So I just keep walking up and down Madison Avenue and taste testing between appointments. Butterfield Market’s was such an amazingly delicious surprise. Another reason to love that they opened at 85th and Madison!
