Thanks to our employees who live within a block of the winery, we’ll be open for awhile today for our neighbors that want to snow shoe over! We will be closing early at 4PM, possibly earlier depending on the weather. Keep an eye out on social media for any changes or feel free to give us a call!

It’s game day! No matter who you’re rooting for we’ve got plenty of wine and spirits to perfectly compliment your tailgate! Red, white, sweet, vodka! How about a celebratory Avery Spumante for post game? We’ll be here until 6PM for all of your adult beverage needs!

FOUND: Nayla has been located! ATTN: Neighbors... Please be on the lookout for Nayla, she is a white/fawn bulldog with an under bite, seresto collar, and dog tag. She was lost on East Hill by Park lane. If you see/find her please get ahold of us and we’ll connect you with the owner.

After a brief holiday hiatus, we’re excited to bring back our staff profiles! This time around we have Elana. Since October of 2019, her willingness to help as well as her genuine interest in others has made her a welcoming and grounded presence in our tasting room. Her favorite things about Six Mile include interacting with new people, learning more about wine, and serving as a makeshift tour guide via recommendations to out of towners. Her favorite wine here is the Dry Reserve Riesling. In her free time, her hobbies include hiking, gardening, fishing, watching live music, and hanging out with her hubbie, daughter, and beloved pup, Annabelle. Thank you Elana for everything you do for us and everyone else that passes through!

Today we salute our tasting room weekend warrior Sage, who on Thursday, upon a small group of family and friends made his maw-age official at the vineyard! Sage has been with us for almost a year and in his own words... loves working for a local, family owned business. Wine has always been super interesting to me and it’s cool to work somewhere where I keep learning new stuff. Sage is also an adjunct professor of environmental science at Cortland and in his spare time enjoys film, hockey, and hanging out with his wife Diana and their cat Waffles! Congratulations Sage and Diana and thanks for being part of the Six Mile family!

Another Saturday we can’t accommodate walk-ins for tastings. Please limit on site bottle and glass groups to six people and be mindful that once we hit our indoor/outdoor capacity we can only offer to-go bottles to take home.

Yet another Saturday we are fully booked for wine/spirit tastings. Walk-ins for glass/bottle service only until capacity. We will have a presence on the grounds to ensure proper group sizing, behavior, social distancing, and capacity rules. Everyone on the grounds is also limited to one on site bottle per person, per transaction and as always everyone should have a valid over 21 ID to be served. If you don’t, stay home. During peak times, expect to wait and socially distance outside as we can only bring a few people into the building at a time. Thank you!

Now that things are slowing down a little, we figured we’d introduce you to some of the folks that keep this place moving and shaking! First up we have Meishon! In her own words, she is a Beyonce fan first, human second, Taurus third, and a Texan above all. She has been with us a few months now and has a long history in hospitality both in hotels and as a flight attendant! These days she is more grounded and currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources online through Penn State. Meishon enjoys meeting new people from all different walks of life afforded by working in the tasting room and her favorite Six Mile wine is our semi-dry Riesling. Thank you Meishon and the rest of the team for everything you do to create a welcoming, fun, and friendly environment amongst these tough times!

We are pretty much fully booked for wine tastings tomorrow and booking up quickly the rest of the weekend. We can still offer a good amount of seating (first come, first serve) on our property for anyone that wants to enjoy a glass or bottle. Thank you for your support and understanding. We are open regular hours this Labor Day Weekend but are booking up on tastings quickly (especially Saturday)! All wine tastings are done at our indoor bar and we can only ensure a spot if you make a reservation! We do not require reservations for outdoor seating (first come, first serve but ask that you read up on our current set up, Covid rules, and group sizing restrictions via our website before stopping by.
