What a..... (wait for it).....Fantastic weekend for Logan & 4star and Elle & Jazz for a 4th and 2nd place finish at Barnstable South Horse Trials out of... 13 riders!!!!! We couldn’t have asked for a better weekend (weather wise) for their first appearance in a recognized horse trials in AREA III.

Happy birthday to Flight We forgot to post yesterday..... we are so lucky to have you in our program. Yes, his real birthday is the 1st of January!!!!!! 1/1/1998 is his actually birthday. (Happy legal birthday to all our OTTB’s)

It is both emotional and difficult to share the news of the passing of two former Sky Farm family members. 10/23/2020 Peter Mollo will be remember by Sky Farm as one of our biggest fans. Although he retired from riding a few years ago, he remained loyal and well known for telling his riding stories. Examples- when Jewel got attached by a hive of bees and he realized that he was still able to ride a bucking horse or when his tiny Jack Russell attacked Jewel’s legs and got him ...thrown and he couldn’t stop laughing. Such an amazing, intelligent, and funny character. We appreciate his decidcation to his mares Jewel and Molly (RIP) and his love of trails and nature. We appreciate all his life advice and his love of animals and people. He passed due to health complications surrounded by love from his daughter and son. Please continue to keep his friends and family in your thoughts. 11/17/2020 Vice-Chancellor Brigety from Ava’s college posted this statement: I am deeply saddened to report that Ava Hingson, C’23, from Cornwall, Connecticut, died late this afternoon after being thrown from a horse during a trail ride. Please keep her friends and family in your thoughts. We are shocked and so sad that such a wonderful young equestrian, who was so full of life, smiles, and love left far too soon. We have such fond memories of Ava. Just to note a few: her winning written score at D4K (which she was so proud of) her willingness to ride in the worst of weather including snow, rain, heat, cold (we have some fantastic snow storm pictures), and her ability to keep anyone smiling and laughing. She will be missed.

Dressage Show Update~ 10/30/2020 Postponed until Friday 11/5/2020 due to inclement weather. We have been watching the weather for the past couple of hours and hoping that it would somehow change for tomorrow, but sadly no! ... Judge Adam has agreed to reschedule for next Friday 11/6/2020. The forecast predicts 60 and beautiful. We think everyone would agree that it would be more enjoyable to avoid riding in a very wet arena tomorrow. Please message Lilly individually if there is a conflict for next Friday. Sorry all ): Saturday, our fun show is still a go. Please observe social distancing and mask wearing.

(Sadly we are so late posting this) Time to honor someone special for their accomplishments and volunteering Can anyone guess who our person of the month was for May?... Here are some helpful hints: - this young lady has improved her skills immensely over the past few months - she rides a variety of different horses and is able to adapt to riding all of them well - she volunteered at the Sky Farm Renaissance Day - she can been seen riding in group on Saturdays - she is a member of the Sky Farm 4-H Club - she is currently half-leasing Seuss - she is very positive and takes good care of every horse she rides Congratulations and keep up the great work!!!
