One week until we celebrate Julie & Matt as we get them down the aisle. This couple deserves the world. Like a lot of others they cancelled their large Colorado Wedding to an intimate wedding of 17. They will be getting married park side with a dinner to follow. We will be embracing all the bohemian feels for this bride and adding in my personal favorite touches of watercolors. Dawn here, I wanted to share some recent questions I’ve had about our love wed packages. Feel free to send us an email or set up a call if you need further questions answered! ~ What sizes are the micro wedding packages for the most part and why does the pricing change? This package generally starts at 15 guests with flexibility of course! Pricing changes from 15 guests to 20, 25, 30, 35,40,45 and 50. The reason mostly is material costing. The more tables the more flowers an...d candles, the more people the more escort cards. ~What are personal flowers? These are flowers for the bride and groom, groom and groom, bride and bride. Or simply flowers for the two stars of the show. Bouquets, boutonnières, floral cuffs, hair flowers and so on are example personal flowers. ~Do you source and set up venue visits for us? Upon signing we give you a list of possible venues or restaurants you can choose to use for ceremony and reception or a low key dinner. You are welcome to choose a venue on your own as well. While we spent many hours and days sourcing these spaces originally we give you the option to book on your own. In addition we have a list of trusted vendors such as officiants, hair and makeup artists. We give you the tools to book on your own. If you want more help sourcing additional vendors, an hourly consultant fee can be included. ~ Can we add more hours to the day of, more florals or change the calligraphy direction? Yep! Anything can be customized to your needs just ask! ~ What if there’s an uptick in covid and we can’t have our wedding on our date? No problem we are happy to reschedule, our only ask is to give us the flexibility of multiple date options. ~Whats a vow book? It’s a handmade book with calligraphy details on the outside. You will receive your books prior to your wedding date in order to add in your vows. It’s a gorgeous keepsake for years to come. Don’t want a vow book? City hall or Europe? We won’t tell. Though covid has thrown a wrench into things a way to get married at city hall currently if local to Jersey City is to contact a government official. Examples would be a judge or a councilman. You’d be surprised at their enthusiasm to help in our current climate. Weekends are for al fresco dinning. Here are some of my favorite old and new spots to grab a bite or cocktail locally. Manhattan ~ Amali, Mediterranean on the UES @amalinyc ~Gitanos, Tons of lush greenery and endless heaters, yes please. @gitano.newyorkcity Brooklyn ... ~ Le Crocodile at the Wythe, French fare done beautifully in the romantic terrace of the @wythehotel Queens ~Telly’s Taverna in Astoria. An old stomping ground for me with a gorgeous backyard spot to catch up with an old friend or partner. @tellystaverna Jersey City ~Porta, Large roof top perfect for some distant conversation and actual good vegan pizza. @portajerseycity ~Gringos,perfect place to wind down solo with a marg or with your favorite friend. Things I didn’t think I’d be thinking about this year. Which mask is going to match my cardigan? But here we are. Here are some ways we can think about having a safer wedding for yourself and loved ones. ~Check in with your hair and makeup artists. Recent artists that I’ve worked with such as @mua_gabriel and @melissaformicabeauty took the extra step to get covid certification to make sure they’re being the absolute safest with their clients. ... ~ Ceremony- Consider cute ways to social distance your guests. We recently used circular rattan place mats as marking points for guests to stand 6 ft apart from each other. I think it added a layer of cuteness to the overall bohemian vibe we were going for. ~ Reception- Consider hiring a calligraphy artist such as @writeprettyforme for reception signage. It’s an easy way to communicate to guests to wear masks or for assigned seating. ~ Have extra branded masks and a hand sanitizer station by or at the welcome table. ~ Work with your planner and venue to set up tables safely. Speak with your guests to see their comfort level with seating. One suggestion is to seat guests by household. Happy planning everyone. @carolinariveraphotographer
