People have asked" What's up with that Car on your roof?" So the story is, i grew up in Lyncourt in Syracuse, ny. Genesee Street was automobile row and back then the Mini Cooper dealer had a Giant holding a Car! Then in the 1980s, a body man put a 1980s Cadillac on his roof near the Regional Market. Imitation being the best compliment, the Sliced & Diced Saab sign, was created. In 1990, i acquired a 1972 Saab Sonett III parts car which i of course, put behind the garage at ho...me. Wife, although Incredibly understanding said, i'd Never do anything with it! hah, i said. Game on. So I had a slot car friend Jason Townes, who is a mechanical genius. The Town of Salina said go ahead and the Sliced and Diced Saab went up! I was proud of it too... until i sent a photo to Mr. Aurora Bob Beers, who quickly pointed out, 'yeah it looks nice as a Car, but it ain't no SLOT Car.' Shit. he was right. So i had a JuJitsu balance rod that got cut for the guide pin and i fashioned two (Very Large) T-jet pick up shoes out of sheet copper! And for once, managed to get My Wife's AND Bob Beers Slot Car Approval too! it is lit with LED lights, and there is a starter button in the showroom, which sounds the Air Horns, mounted to dissuade our feathered friends from roosting!
