Smith Memorial Park

Smith Park camping will begin on Friday, May 22nd, 2020. We will start taking reservations on May 16th, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. There will be limitations in place due to the COVID19 pandemic and subsequent social distancing orders. We will have a limited number of sites available for self-contained campers with bathrooms. There will be no public restrooms available. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the SMITH PARK BOAT LAUNCH will not open May 8th. We hope to open the boat launch by Friday, May 15th. The campground will open by the months end with restrictions in place to allow for NYSDOH and social distancing requirements. We will post specifics about campground opening within the next two weeks. We are sad to announce that the Summer Swim Program will not be held in 2020. The school buildings, including the pool, will remain closed due to the Coronaviru...s pandemic. We urge all swimmers to practice safe swimming practices this summer: Do not swim alone. Swim in safe, designated swimming areas. Fit your child, and yourself, with a Coast-Guard approved lifejacket before boating, paddle boarding, canoeing, or kayaking. A dedicated observer should be on duty when people are swimmingtaking 20 minute shifts to share responsibility with other adults to avoid burnout.
