Here are a few reminders to keep in mind when planting or tending to your roses now that spring has arrived: Pick the right roses for the right spot, and remember that roses need at least six hours of sun a day in order to grow to their full potential. Know your soil pHhave your soil tested and amend it as needed. For roses to thrive, being consistent is the most important thing. Do NOT overwater. Roses will not thrive in soggy soil. We hope that helps. Ask us any questions you may have in the comments below.
No matter how long the winter, spring is sure to follow. Today marks the first day of spring, the earliest spring we’ll have seen in a long time. The last time spring arrived early was in 1896124 years ago!

Can you name this rose? Classified as a shrub rose, in gardens it can be trained to grow along a fence. The very full, deep pink flowers have a powerful fragrance that is distinct but never heavy. What’s even better, the plant reblooms repeatedly from summer to early fall, at least four times. It’s the Gertrude Jekyll; let us know below if you guessed right!
