This is the first naked eye comet gracing our northern hemisphere sky’s in 24 years, don’t miss it! My three kid's got up early with me this morning to see Comet Neowise. Matthew saw the Comet immediately upon arriving to our viewing site. We also enjoyed the view with Binoculars. I took this picture with my Canon T2i mounted on tripod. Comet Neowise will continue to be in our sky’s for a few weeks, and will soon be visible in evening sky about an hour after sunset. Next chance to see this comet will be in 70,000 years!

These three galaxies are know as the Leo triplet. They are interacting spiral galaxies 35 million light years away and located in the northern constellation Leo. The galaxy on the left is known as the Hamburger galaxy. The two on the right are known as Messier 65, and Messier 66 after Charles Messier the astronomer that discovered them. Seeing Astrological objects is like looking into a time machine. The light from these galaxies captured by this camera are 35 million years o...ld. 35 million Years ago on earth there was an intense and rapid climate change occurring. During this same time Australia separated from Antarctica. This was a time of mass extinction for Australian animals caused by a dramatic drop in global temperatures. The data for this image was captured in my backyard in Sanborn, and at the Buffalo Astronomy Associations observatory in North Java New York.

Latest update of The Triangulum Galaxy The Triangulum Galaxy is a spiral galaxy 2.73 million light-years from Earth in the constellation Triangulum. This galaxies diameter is about 60,000 light years across. It’s roughly 60% the size of our Milky Way galaxy. Spiral galaxies like this one have helped to reveal the ghostly phenomenon known as dark matter. Dark matter is a form of matter thought to account for about 85% of the matter in the universe. Dark matter cannot be dire...ctly observed, but scientists know it exists because of how it effects galaxies like this one. The outside arms of spiral galaxies spin much faster then they should, telling us there is much more matter contained within those galaxies then we see. The data for the this picture was collected over the last couple months under the dark sky’s of Cherry Springs State park in Pa. See more
