The evolution of a double shielded cable starts with connecting and shrink wrapping the wires to the connector. The connector cover is added followed by securing the first layer of shielding. We now cover the shielded cable with Nomex and secure it in place with heat shrink. Once the first shield is in place a second shield covers the entire cable and is secured to the connector with a BAND-IT clamp. Next, we repeat the process of covering the double shielded cable with Nomex and Expando, followed by added protection of BSTS covering the cable and connector cover.
