Good day all, I wanted to share the word from our Pastor V. DuWayne Battle from this Sunday, July 26th entitled "The Real King Reigns" found in the scripture from Acts 4:23-26 and Psalm 2. Psalm 2 is an Messianic Psalm which deals with the Life, Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. 3 points Pastor shared with us on Sunday ... 1) Not everyone accepts the King's authority 2) God has a response for the people when they throw-off his authority 3) Serve the Lord! This is to... excite us to serve the Lord! Be mindful not to treat God with open rebellion or quiet indifference! Our service begins on Sunday at 9:00 am for Intercessory Prayer and 10:00 am for worship. Hope you can join us! Stay safe!

Good Day, June 28th was our celebration of our Graduates and Academic studies candidates. Our Pastor shared an empowering message entitled; "The Mind of Christ" and the scripture was 1 Corinthians 2:16. Some of his points were...God has given us the mind of Christ. 1) Those who are spiritual discern all things. 2) Believers have the mind of Christ 3) The Holy Spirit discerns spiritual things... The Mind of Christ is a terrible thing to waste. Accept by faith, what we don't understand. He closed with 'Real learning takes place in the presence of God!' Continue to have an amazing week. As we embark on the holiday weekend, we are to stay prayerful, safe and remember we have the MIND of Christ! Continued to join us in worship and know that we are praying always for you!

Good Morning, I want to share the sermon from yesterday and some points that will help to guide you during this week. The sermon title was "The Holy Spirit searches everything" and the scripture was 1 Corinthians 2:10-15. Pastor Battle shared with us that if you want wisdom ask God. Wisdom is not deserved or merited,it is a gift from God. Pastor challenged the preachers to Preach only Jesus. Paul came only with the testimony of Jesus only (vs. 1) Paul proclaims that his... preaching was a demonstraton of power (vs.4) Some points 1) The Gospel message is most effective when its presented with power and simplicity. The truth of the Gospel should never be boring. Keep in mind the audience that your message is going to. Speak a message of wisdom to the mature 2) We must be careful to speak God's wisdom. The spirtual person discerns all things because the Spirit searches everything. We can discernn all things! Have an amazing day and continue to follow and support our church.

We're experiencing some challenging times but the Lord is with us... Please find the 'Good News' from Pastor Battle 5/31 - I Can't Breathe - Scripture/Acts 2:14-21 There are many similarities between COVID-19 and the death's that are occurring in our community. What we need, as the Church, to do... 1) All aggressive policy tactics must be met with swift and visible accountability... 2) Congress needs to establish accountability systems 3) Special Prosecutors to govern over unarmed victims that have been inflicted by Law enforcement. 4) Re-double our efforts to secure proper training for all officers in training and hires 5) Aggressively acknowledge and illuminate racism at all cost. Vs-17 - I will pour out my spirit - Don't stop dreaming dreams pouring our the Spirit to prophecy. (Speak to the age) Vs-19 Signs on the earth .. blood, fire, smoke Vs-21 Call on the name of the Lord. Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Thank you again for supporting and following St. Paul Baptist Church. We pray for you and pray the peace and covering of the Lord over your lives! See more

Sunday, May 24th Sermon "A Living Hope" scripture 1 Peter 1:3-9. Pastor Battle shared with us today from the scripture that we have an inheritance that is kept in heaven for us! (vs. 4) Our HOPE is our super power. Your/Our living hope will adjust itself no matter the circumstances. You can still have hope! Living Hope is based on the Resurrected Savior, Living Hope reflects our newness in Jesus Christ. Living Hope is active and dynamic. Living Hope is grounded in God's... abundant mercy. We NEED Jesus all day long. Pastor taught us that God allows the trails because they serve a purpose. 'God's Testing'. He gives us 'Different Trails - Different Times' in our lives. vs 6-7 "In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trails. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith - of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire - may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ revealed." (NIV) Observations on a Living Hope (1) We focus on the process and miss the product. We tend to focus on the wrong thing (2) The more self-centered you are, the more you complain about the process. (3) Christians tend to be more serious when they have tested and proven. The product of a Living Hope is Joy and Salvation (vs 8) Joy Unspeakable!! We have to suffer but we still have victory!! I pray this gives you some HOPE to stand on during this week. Continue to follow our church and know that St. Paul continues to pray and War in the Spirit for you all! See more

Good Morning All, I'm sharing the Sermon notes from Pastor Battle from yesterday. The title was "The Christian Hope", the scripture was 1 Peter 1:1-3. Pastor shared that God is trying to get us back on track. We have been sanctified to be obedient to the Lord by his blood. (vs. 2) We are to praise God, we have been born again. (vs 3) Pastor asked us to consider, what difference does the Resurrection of Jesus have for my life today? His points of reference for this scrip...ture were.... 1) The Christian Hope is grounded in Jesus (my hope is built on nothing less...) 2) The Christian Hope is grounded in Praise. Don't loose your joy, know that Jesus is our Prophet, Priest and King. 3) Our Hope is grounded in Prayer. Prayer is vitally important, we are to recognize the target of our prayer. Pray in season and out of season!! When we pray, we submit ourselves to the Christian Hope. Continue to follow our worship and we hope these words of HOPE with cover you throughout the week! Continue to stay safe and covered! See more

Sermon for today ... "Questions the follow Easter". Scripture - John 20:15; 21:15-23. Jesus asked 3 important questions, a question of Ambition, Affection and Attention 1) Ambition - Who are you looking for? This question is asked of Mary at the tomb. Pastor Battle challenged us with these questions of introspection... When we come to church, what do we really come for and What do we do once we get there? Mary didn't recognize Jesus but she knew his voice, thus the sheep... always know the voice of the Shepherd. 2) Affection - Do you love me? Jesus asked this question 3 times of Peter. He gives Peter instructions, Feed my Lambs, Take care of my Sheep, Feed my Sheep.Christian love should be measurable, demonstrated, paramount and in action in our lives. 3) Attention - Jesus tells Peter to 'Follow Me'. Peter then turns and sees, the disciple that Jesus loved and asked, 'What about him?'. Jesus says, (I'm paraphasing) just do what I told you to do! Don't have a focus problem. Continue to follow our church and leadership. We are grateful to you for being apart of our church and know that we are praying everyday for you! See more

Today, 4/26 Pastor Battle's sermon title "The Evening News" subtitle 'Turning Tragedy into Triumph'. Scripture John: 20:19-23. His points of emphasis... 1) Jesus gives Peace - Jesus speaks to the disciples after showing them his scars and says 'Peace'. The Lord's peace is a gift of his grace. 2) Jesus gives Purpose - Jesus commissioned the disciples to go and do likewise 'so send I you'. We should focus on the purpose Jesus has for our lives. 3) Jesus gives Power - Purpose and power go together. We, the church, are given power to perform the work the Lord has for us to do. You need the anointing. Thank you Dr. Battle for a wonderful message and food for thought for this week!
