Jerry is making slow and steady progress with Ragnarok. Dogs like him requires a little bit of extra attention as it takes longer to earn their trust and bond. Additionally Ragnarok is enjoying the training sessions and is learning commands at a steady pace.
Tashi had his first handling lesson with his owner this weekend and they did great! Like all owners who come to us for help, she is dedicated to her dog and his well-being so she spent extra time learning the new way to communicate with Tashi so that she could be clear and consistent.
Lola made a new friend who will be boarding with us for the week. Roxy is a young Great Dane puppy and while she is here, we of course will upkeep her house breaking regiment and socializations. The two are quite taken with one another!
Yesterday we had our first lesson with Kane and his owner. During this lesson, we go over command structure and leash handling skills. They both did great!
Ragnar was dropped off today to start a board and train program. He is a young dog, approaching 3 years old and has started showing some unwanted behaviors as he is transitioning into adulthood. He started to show territorial behaviors of his home/family, has been showing fear aggression towards strangers with enough confidence to commit to biting, and has a high level of anxiety. The first step as always is taking the time to learn and bond with Ragnar, the rest will follow in time.
Chadwick (Wick) came to us some time ago for a board and train program and is now back for a tune up/extended boarding while his owners are away for vacation. While it has been some time since we last saw him, Wick is still the same goofy giant and it will be a pleasure having him around.
