CAMPSTORE! SEASON OPENING UPDATE For those who don't know, Moffitt Beach State Campground's opening has been postponed (until when we really don't know). Howev...er, the State Campground's closure has postponed the opening of Campstore! by one week. WE ARE NOW PLANNING TO BE OPEN ON MAY 23rd for the Memorial Day Holiday. This gives us a few more days to prepare your experience and finish all retrofitting according to the new rules/ regulations. When we do open please note that masks will be mandatory, patience will be required, "in store" traffic will be limited to pick up only. and Scoops! will be open for "to go" ice cream. We have a bunch of cool announcements to make pre opening so just stay tuned! We are still here to make your Adirondack Summer an amazing one and are very excited to see all of you! THANK YOU ALL FOR HANGING WITH US THROUGH THIS.

Yep, for real!!

We have been hearing some concerns that we do not have enough groceries & supplies for an influx of seasonal residents. Let me assure you THIS IS NOT THE CASE. ...While we -- like all stores may be light in some departments, we are doing our best to remain stocked and ready for business every day. Notices throughout Hamilton County that encourage people to stay home to self-quarantine for 2 weeks upon arrival is understandable, HOWEVER, it DOES NOT mean we cannot handle an increase of customers. Obviously, we cannot predict how the supply chain will change, but we are keeping our shelves stocked and have a good selection to accommodate the community. We will do our best provide for all customers, both year-round and seasonal, just as we have for 81 years. Of course, we still ask that shoppers wear face masks and take other safety precautions, but we will continue to be here to serve our community as always. I hope this puts your worries as ease. First and foremost Health is important we all know this. Let me say that my first thought is that everyone and their families stay safe throughout this unprecedented time. However, this is a Business Owner Network and any member of this group will be directly impacted by the economic shock this entire situation will have on our local small businesses. With the above said the following weeks/ months will be trying to say the least. An economic battle like no other we have fa...ced in our area is now at our doorstep and will not be easily averted. (Coming off an unseasonal Winter doesn't help those who have stayed open throughout it all.) No one is sure what type of State aid for Small Business is coming nor should it be a priority for NYS at the moment as bigger concerns are pressing. However with a forecasted 45 day window until we see PEAK cases of COVID-19 in NYS one can bet safely that this situation is far from over. When the COVID-19 situation passes the economic shock will be far from resolved. The best US economists are saying an economic rebound will likely be seen no earlier than Q4 of this year... a long time from now. At this time I ask that we band together best we can to ensure other's mutual survival. The above may all sound dramatic but rest assured we now find ourselves in unique times. By making a point to support each other we can hedge this battle and survive. We must work together, shop local (really local), use each other's business services when / if we can, price services accordingly, and genuinely look out for one another. Please ask yourself - "is the service/product I need available in my area" prior to clicking purchase on Amazon, Running to Walmart, or buying from an external third party. We won't see the full effect of this downturn until July of this year at best. We need to be prepared to play the long game and stay in partnership with one another. However, I KNOW our town(s) is AMAZING and full of some of the smartest / cleverest / resilient people I have ever met.
