A Canalside Update!

We were saddened to recently learn of the passing of one of our volunteers Joan Forth. Joan was a wonderful lady who dedicated her time to the Museum for the past 5 years. We were further saddened to learn that her husband Bob had also passed 5 days before Joan. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Forth family at this time.

Our friends at the Ogden Historical Society are releasing videos of previous stories in place of an in-person Ghost Walk this year!

A couple of photos of the restored, mid 1800s Erie Canal Flight of Five in #LockportNY! Also pictured is the Erie Traveler, a purpose built replica boat for use in these locks.

Very exciting news... Tomorrow is the official opening day for the Erie Canal which includes WNY and much of the Finger Lakes regions!

For many years, we have struggled to keep our #LittleFreeLibrary full! I put the call out earlier this year for some help and the local #Spencerport #community has been doing their bit to keep it full. Thanks everyone!
