Our partners in Webster Aquatic Center and Community Education are offering a5 hour Pre-licensing course on Monday, September 7 from 5-10 pm via zoom by Suburban Driving, $40. Here is the link to register https://webstercentral.revtrak.net/

As many of you may know, we were heartbroken to learn of Mr. Cory Doty's passing this week. He was a wonderful teacher for our community as the Driver Education instructor and we will be forever grateful that he decided to take on the role. We know that he had a special gift in his ability to connect with students here at Spencerport and in the Greece school district. He shared over the years that he loved teaching Driver Education and seeing his students' growth not only behind the wheel but individually as well. Mr. Doty was not only our instructor but a neighbor, wonderful father to two graduates of Spencerport High School, volunteer, OTHG basketball teammate and friend to many. Our sincere condolences to his family and the Greece Athena community.

Governor Cuomo announced yesterday that summer day camps can open June 29, which is hopeful news to us all. Our district is still in the midst of planning what summer facility use would look like, specifically to meet all the health guidelines, safety protocols, preventative measures, and social distancing requirements. The review impacts all programs for Community Education, Sports Boosters, Parent Teacher Organizations, Youth Sports/Clubs, Scouts, Dance Companies and the like. We anticipate a decision by June 15 whether these events will move forward and appreciate your patience. Stay tuned.
