Why can't I come in with my pet? Curbside check-in during COVID-19. We understand that you would like to be with your pet in the examination room. We enjoy having you there too. It's much easier for us to talk to you directly about your pet's health.... However right now we are required to follow guidelines issued by New York State that state "Curbside intake and pickup of animal's should be used, wherever practical, to minimize the number of clients in waiting areas and exam rooms." Although that creates a lot of extra work for our staff, we are committed to complying with the NY State safety guidelines during the COVID-19 crisis, and to protect our client's health and safety. But let's work together to make your visit as easy as possible, using our curbside visit protocols.

We are proud to announce a few exciting updates at the clinic! First, there is a new website where you can request pharmacy refills, learn about the new adopted model in how we treat your pets- Fear Free, and updates on the growing staff! In addition, there’s been a small name change from The Country Vet TO Spencerport Country Vet. New website: https://www.spencerportcountryvet.com/ The next update- Dr. Kevin Coughlin in January 2020 decided to retire and open a Bed and Brea...kfast with his family. Dr. Kevin bought the practice in 2013 and expanded the size of the clinic and client base. Dr. Kevin will still serve as a relief/referral surgeon and you may see him around the clinic! Dr. Kevin sold the practice to Dr. Steven Aimi. Dr. Aimi, a 2014 graduate of Iowa State University, joined the clinic in 2017. Dr. Aimi was born in Connecticut, received his B.S. in Biological Sciences at University of Vermont where he met his wife, Janelle and has 4 daughters. Dr. Aimi, the doctors and staff look forward to a long association with its clients and patients. We offer friendliness combined with the latest and best in veterinary medicine.

Curbside drop-offs and pick-ups at veterinary clinics essentially keep pet owners out of the exam room, but still connected to the veterinary medical team. Adopting this concierge service minimizes the number of people entering the veterinary practice and reduces any risk of spreading Covid-19 disease, keeping both clients and the veterinary staff safe.
