Become a public health mentor. Ask any successful leader what the key to their career success is and chances are most will tell you they had great mentors along the way. If you were fortunate enough to have a mentor while building your career, you will know what this means to a student. Are you ready to pay it forward? Consider becoming a mentor for a public health student through the UB Career Connector Network, a powerful online platform that facilitates one-to-one career connections for UB alumni, partners and students seeking career tips and advice. You don’t need to be a #UBAlumni to be a mentor, and mentoring can be rewarding for both mentees and mentors. Help shape the future workforce through mentoring. Let’s get started. If you have any questions please contact Patricia Starr at [email protected]. https://buffalo.firsthand.co
Help continue Dr. Susan Bennett’s life, work and legacy with a gift to a newly created memorial fund. Dr. Susan E. Bennett, DPT, EdD, MS, longtime #UBuffalo faculty member in the School of Public Health and Health Professions and pioneer in rehabilitation practices for people with multiple sclerosis, was a generous teacher, mentor, colleague and friend. For over 40 years, she worked tirelessly on behalf of her patients, students and profession. She died June 4 after a battle... with cancer. To honor her memory, Sue’s family, friends and colleagues have created the Susan E. Bennett Memorial Fund, which will provide a financial award to a student enrolled in the Department of Rehabilitation Science who demonstrates promise in the field of physical therapy. Learn more about Sue and how you can contribute on the crowdfunding page. Your gift will be most welcome. #UBSPHHP University at Buffalo Rehabilitation Science University at Buffalo Alumni
