Wow we are heading into August! Check out the photos of our vendors and some of our great musical entertainers. Real nice summer and a great market. This month we have The Fishermans Fair on August 20th. In years past we moved the market across the street or opted to skip the market all together. This year the market will take place same time same place only we will end by noon. The Fishermans Fair will take place from 1 to 8. Look for some of our vendors at The Fair too. The following week The Springs Market will host the 3rd annual Agricultural fair featuring baking contests, biggest zuchini, flower arranging, chicken appearence, dog tricks, egg toss. For more info and to enter please visit www.springsagfair.com Come join us for the fair and the market!
Springs Farmers Market is in full swing this year with great music, produce, baked goods, prepared foods, sweets, pickles, fish, flowers, and much much more!!
The first market of the season was a great success! Highlights for me were: The wood fired pizza oven and the amazing pizza that Adam created. St James brewery wheat beer! Keep it coming! Macaroons by The bearded baker Scott, cotton candy that seemed to fall from the sky, chicken patties, Italian bread stuffed with garlic and spinach, excellent Chuck's coffee, Tracey's bread (I like to slice it thin, toast it and smother it with butter), Lucy's Whey--was there any cheese le...ft?! Hampton Brine--now that's sauerkraut! Roey's Gypsy Coconut water love, Smoked trout and smoked salmon pate--man that was good, Pierpont beautiful blossoms, LI Pickles, Arlotta Olive Oil. The sparks flying off the knifes over in Greg from Sharp Hampton's tent, Balsam Farms--always keeping it real, Fireplace Farm, local fisherman Chris and his wife Sarah-- super fresh sea scallops, Meredith and Joy from Merken Fisheries serving up an amazing array of locally caught sea food, Jason's outstanding Cider, Linda's Baked by Cupid tasty cakes, Buckwhat's energy morsels, and Bambino Ravioli--check out their salami, ravioli and mozzarella, Amagansett Sea Salt. Last but not least, Zabars as always, stood strong. Next week look for the return of Sweetauk lemonade and Island End Farms from The North Fork. In two weeks Finn Wheel Farm from Springs. Oh Yes, and thanks to Job, Jeff, Mike And Gerry G for some real nice groovin music. Next week is Michael Pour and some excellent guitar picking. See more
OK Then! Saturday is opening day. Despite the lack of farmer's market signs at Ashawagh (they are getting a makeover...) we are open 9-1 on Saturday! We have our great local farms, two local fishermen this year, cheese, a great assortment of bakers, two breweries! ravioli, chicken, Zabars, Italian bread, olive oil, flowers, smoked fish, pickles, salt, coffee and muffins. Sweetauk lemonade might also be back. All this plus live music (though we need a new song to replace Wagon Wheel as the theme song... any suggestions?) Also, a wood fired pizza oven will be making a weekly appearance helmed by chef Adam! So come to Springs and take a break from "The Hamptons" and enjoy good food, music, meet your friends and make new ones and bring your knifes and garden tools to be sharpened by Greg of Sharp Hamptons. See you Saturday!
Thanks to everyone for a great year! We had many new vendors, awesome music, a real fun Agricultural Fair and of course real good food and lots of sharp knifes and a few axes around town. A special shout out to Billy from Arlotta for sending many new vendors our way. I thank all the vendors, musicians and customers for making The Springs Market a real special event. Remember we have two more Markets This Saturday September 19th which also marks The Springs Fire Dept 5...0th anniversary. Please join us at the market and enjoy the parade that will pass right by the market! Keep in mind that after 10:30 am you will have to park over on The Springs General Store side of the bridge because Parsons Place and Old Stone Highway will be closed for the parade. Finally Saturday September 26th, Marathon Day, we will have our final market. Please come out and enjoy the market and cheer on the runners. See more
