Greetings and Blessings on this Great Feast of the Elevation of The Precious and Life Giving Cross! Just a reminder that we will have our weekly Bible Study tonight, Monday September 14th at 7:00 pm Eastern Time. I very much look forward to being with all of you.

If we stop and think for a minute, we will realize that there is way too much noise coming from people who are talking at us, and not with us, and all of these people are trying to convince us that they are speaking the truth. This is not only tiring and frustrating, and but can send us into despair. However, we do not despair, because we understand that there is only One truth, as taught to us by Our Lord Jesus Christ who said: If you abide in my word, you are truly my disc...iples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. (John 8:31-32) But what does it mean to "abide in my word"? The word "abide" means to act in accordance with a rule or teaching. So if we wish to abide in His word, we must follow what we are taught in the Gospels. Our Lord says that the truth will set us free. But free from what? Free from the bondage of sinfulness which enslaves us and keeps us attached to the passions of this world, which will always disappoint us. So, we must take everything that we see and hear, and hold it up to the only truth that we know, the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. All things are either consistent with the truth, or not. Let us be mindful of this as we navigate through these storms of life. See more
