In accord with the instruction recently issued by the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, the priest will recite once for all the formula for the imposition of ashes: "Repent, and believe in the Gospel." Saying nothing, the priest then sprinkles some ashes on the crown of each person's head, avoiding contact with the forehead. *The 8:00 AM Mass will be filmed and posted later on our websites. The Church prays on this day for the legal protection of unborn children.

Let us pray to God for all of our new and returning civic leaders and government officials, that they promote the dignity of the human person in working toward peaceful and just solutions for the challenges ahead.

We were sorry to find out that last week's Mass was broadcast on TV this morning instead of the Mass for the Second Sunday In Ordinary Time. The problem has been fixed and the correct Mass is scheduled to air on Thursday at 6:00 AM. If you are a Schenectady Cable customer, set your DVR or tune to Fios Channel 36 or Spectrum Channel 1301.
