Dear Heavenly Father, we celebrated the 100th day of school this year. Thank you for all these days to learn about you and your world. As we look forward to our next week of rest and relaxation, help us grow in your love as we think about our relationship with God as the Lenten season of the Church begins on Ash Wednesday next week. We ask our prayer today through your Son, that we will live like Him. Amen

This an amazing memory of songs we have sung in the past and the importance of children’s voices in times of trouble. We are blessed at St.Thomas the Apostle to teach, to build, and to serve. God bless our students and faculty as they start a new year at our school.

Services for the Rev. Msgr. John A. Alesandro, who died on December 27, 2020, will take place in the St. Thomas the Apostle Upper Church as follows: Friday - Wake from 2-5pm & Mass of Transferral at 7:30pm and the Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday at 11am. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Dear Jesus, violence is everywhere. This must make you sad because violence displeased you so. You taught everyone to treat others gently and with respect and kindness. Lord, we know all things are possible through you. Help make this world peaceful. Open the eyes of the world leaders to see that violence is not the way to peace. Guide them and us so we may be people of peace and love and not violence and hate. We ask this through you who can do all things. Amen.
