Job Opening Sterling Well Drilling - Water Well Driller’s Assistant We drill and service all types of water wells in the Adirondack Park Region of Upstate New York Center of operations, Chestertown, NY.... Currently seeking one hard working individual to assist in the setup and operation of water well drilling rig. Must be physically fit and mentally focused. Must be willing to get hands dirty and feet wet in all kinds of weather. Desired skills and abilities: Experience with heavy equipment Safety conscious CDL license a big plus, if don’t have will be required to get it air brakes and manual transmissions General electrical/mechanical aptitude Ability to lift and carry more than 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day Ability to stand for extended periods of time Learn to anticipate and start next tasks to be completed with minimal prompting from the driller Be willing to do vehicle maintenance and other shop duties between drilling jobs and overall flexibility to fill various job roles as needed example, helping with pump installations /service Job duties: Operate a crane to load and unload pipe Etc.
