Did you know that in New York State, Mediaid applicants under the age of 65 can create special needs trusts to pay their bills using their income which exceeds Medicaid standards? The Medicaid recipient would deposit all of his or her excess income into the trust. The trustee would use that excess income to pay bills or expenses, directly benefitting the Medicaid recipient!
