Reminder: session 3 tomorrow! In this country, we have all breathed in the smog of bias and racism. Racialized Trauma describes race-based, traumatic stress as a result of a person’s experience with racism and discrimination. As we continue to explore the impact of race and racism on individuals, we will also look at its impact on communities. This session looks at how the ideas, practices, and policies underpin policing, health care, education, finances and other systems produce racialized trauma.
