Dear Patients, Due to the recent Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, and out of concern for all of our patients, as well as New York State, CDC, and government directives, we have closed our office until we are confident our community members are no longer at grave risk. These are unprecedented times and call for severe restriction of our normal activities, including non-urgent medical appointments. We ask you to please call us to reschedule all routine visits. We will attempt t...o accommodate your requests as soon as safety is no longer a concern. For all eye emergencies, please call our office and leave a voicemail. We will return your call as soon as possible and will address your concerns via telemedicine or a scheduled office visit. Please leave a message for refill requests. Please take care of yourselves and let us know how we may be of service to you during this time. We are hopeful to be back to normal functioning as soon as possible. Sincerely, Dr. Reddy and Tricia

Many eye disorders can be corrected if discovered and treated early. Note: Testing your vision at home will not be as accurate as what your ophthalmologist can do but home eye testing could help you discover a problem that requires professional attention. What is a comprehensive dilated eye exam? You may think your eyes are healthy, but visiting an eye care professional for a comprehensive dilated eye exam is the... only way to really be sure. Annual comprehensive dilated eye exams are generally recommended starting at age 60. However, African Americans are advised to start having comprehensive dilated eye exams starting at age 40 because of their higher risk of glaucoma. It’s also especially important for people with diabetes to have a comprehensive dilated exam at least once a year. Learn more about the exam by visiting the National Eye Institue website: https://www.nei.nih.gov/healthyeyes/eyeexam #stjudeeyecare #comprehensiveeyeexam #dialtedeyeexam #NEHEP
