Are you focusing on the right things to see the results you want? This month, the coaches here are reading Coaching Rules by @coachbrendonrearick, and this quote here was a favorite for sure. Some examples of lawn mowing in fitness:... 1) Being hyper-focused on things like creatine or BCAAs when your nutrition isn’t in check or consistent 2) Buying the coolest new vibrating foam roller/theragun/whatever when you aren’t working out consistently 3) Worrying about the perfect protein powder before working on your sleep patterns Mowing the lawn when the house is on fire is a mismanagement of priorities at the end of the day. And priorities become mismanaged when we aren’t clear on where we are going, where we are at, and what we need to do. It’s why we take the time to sit down with every new member before they start to understand EXACTLY what they’ve been through (with fitness, injuries, etc), where they want to be, and where they are currently at. And it’s during those 1-on-1 Assessments and Goal Setting Sessions that we get our priorities in order! A lot of sports were put on hold the past few months, but that didn’t stop many of the @west_babylon_girls_xctf athletes from coming in, getting stronger, and keeping the momentum high!
