Some days you have a plan to gets lots of things checked off the To Do List and then the chains on the spreader decide to break

Well, I'm kinda bummed. Checked on my beehives today and found that I lost a hive. It seems like they must have swarmed on me at some point because, there were only a handful of bees on the bottom board. And this hive was loaded with bees the last time I was collecting honey. On the plus side, 2 hives that were slow to get going this Summer appear to be doing great! Fingers crossed they will survive and thrive in the Spring

Chickens were our latest farm addition this year. The girls are in full swing egg production Cleaned and boxed up 4 dozen eggs that have been collected over the 3 days ( the egg in the lid is a double yolk duck egg)

I did this with a few of our honey jars recently. Works great
