Stoop Meditation 07.12.2020

If you are looking to share and connect during this time, you can join this share circle online. Hosted by my dear friend Kim Thai, who started @ganeshspace. She creates the most welcoming and open spaces. Hope over to her page for all the details. It started but you can still join. It’s never too late to connect with each other. Love you all.

Stoop Meditation 28.11.2020

Hi Friends it’s been a while since I’ve been on social media - I’m hugging you all through this phone, and you have all been in my metta prayers every morning, as I’m hoping you feel held during this difficult time. Just a reminder that you are not alone, we love you, and we’re all in this together. If you live in the Brooklyn neighborhood, I’m organizing a DRY FOOD + SUPPLIES DRIVE today (Sun, 3/15) at Hollenback Community Garden (details below). I will be working with... schools to distribute this to families in need. I’m just anticipating school closures, and am thinking about the hardships that come with that for families that are living in homeless shelters, or are struggling. Thank you to all of my incredible neighbors for helping out to organize this, and to @cmlauriecumbo, our NYC Council Member for your support and advice. If you want to help out in your neighborhood, feel free to reach out to me and I can help direct you. A good way is to join NextDoor.com (like a local craigslist), and post that you are available to help. You can also reach out to your block association or your local council member to find out what initiatives are happening in your neighborhood. Check out @myrtleavebklyn too, you can sign up to be a volunteer as they are organizing help for those in need in our local neighborhoods. . If you feel comfortable being out, come swing by and drop off what you can. I’ll set up two tables to create physical distance and will be wearing rubber gloves. . Details: date: Sunday, March 15th time: 1pm-3pm location: right outside HOLLENBACK COMMUNITY GARDEN Suggested goods: canned foods powdered milk pasta rice sanitizer alcohol pads aloe vera gel paper towels toilet paper

Stoop Meditation 20.11.2020

I can't believe this, but tomorrow (Thurs, 10/17) is the LAST Stoop Meditation gathering of the 3rd Stoop Season in Brooklyn! I’m an emotional one as I’m typing this. We have spent the last 5 months meeting out on that stoop, bright and early at 7:30am, and going inward, together. Talking about it all - from letting go of what no longer serves us, to courageously letting in and respecting our pain, our sadness, to singing our hearts song back to ourselves when we have forg...otten, and back to one another. to supporting each other on our journeys, and reminding ourselves that we are all part of this web of life and we need each and everyone of our souls to bring it to life. COME tomorrow! It’s free, it’s for all of us. . Come for the coffee (donated by @alwaysandforevercafe), come for the meditation , come for the community, come for the fresh air...whatever is calling to you - come for that. Trust that. This might be the last one on this actual stoop, and I'd be honored to see you tomorrow. Let's do this, my loves, my neighbors. See you in the morning!!! 7:30am, 453 Washington Avenue, Brooklyn. Goodnight, world PS: The rain will stop, this I know. Xoxox See more

I absolutely love this place Tomorrow is the last Fall Stoop Meditation at @bklynlibrary Central Branch at Grand Army Plaza, 8:20-8:50am. No rsvp needed! It’s been amazing getting to know the staff, the security guards, and witnessing the close knit community that is always alive at every hour at the library. I hope you can all make it tomorrow! And if you can’t, pop over to the library soon, and check out their amazing free programming or grab a coffee at their cafe and relax on the plaza. And if you’re ever feeling alone or down, again, stroll over to the library. There’s some kind of magic community feel there - so much life happening - it’s amazing #brooklyn #brooklynmeditation #community
