Our latest newsletter is out in the mail! If you don't receive one and would like to, please send a message and we'll get you on the distribution list! A preview of what is in the newsletter: The Malta Food Pantry The congregation at St Peter has a long history of reaching out to those less fortunate in our community through our support of the Malta Food Pantry. St Peter supports the food pantry in two ways. One way is our donation basket which resides below the altar as a re...minder to all of us to remember our neighbors when we reap our harvest. The donations to this basket are brought to the Malta Food Pantry which is located in the Malta Community Center at 1 Bayberry Drive off of Rt 9. They are always glad to see our basket show up to help restock their shelves! The second way in which St Peter supports the food pantry is by receiving a grant from Global Foundries Corporation at Luther Forest. Each year we write up and submit a grant request as part of their community outreach program. When we receive the grant, we In turn purchase gift cards for groceries from Price Chopper and Stewarts which are then given to families in need over the course of the year. This allows them to purchase perishable items which would not last at the food pantry. Our support of the food pantry on a routine basis helps many of our less fortunate neighbors throughout the year. Thank you all who contribute and to Peter Rensvold who leads the charge on the grant application process and coordinates the gift card purchases! See more

We have been holding "social-distant-compliant" worship services since late June. Seating 6 feet apart (with some couples-seating also), no singing to minimize potential spread, masks required, service displayed on a large screen monitor to avoid having to handle paper/books. Sound cumbersome? It's not! It's wonderful to be able to worship Christ and observe communion together as a church family. If you used to worship pre-pandemic and are hesitant to come back, rest assured that we are providing a safe environment. All are welcome.
