St. Peter's United Church of Christ 19.11.2020

Your Pastor’s Thought for the Day I appreciate everyone’s concern about how I am doing with recovery from surgery and from the blood clots. I feel much better from the breathing issues and I am walking well, have strength and flexibility. I will admit, I still have some pain in my knee. Getting up and down from sitting is the worse. The surgeon is pleased and said it will be several months before it really feels better. I invested in a lift recliner. It came the nigh...t before Thanksgiving. It was left on the driveway so my neighbor brought a dolly over and got it onto the front porch. I was able to open the box and my friends and I were able to get it opened up and pulled out the parts and finally, after reading the directions, discovered how to put all of it together. I had been looking for a chair like this since summer, before surgery, but it had to be the right size for me(and the right price). It’s really nice and it really does get me stood up before standing. Of course, if you order something on-line, you can’t be sure how it is. You get it, there was something that didn’t fit. The part that doesn’t fit is the leg rest that doesn’t go up as far as the rest of the chair. I will make a pillow for it and it will be fine. Lord, sometimes we need more of your wisdom instead of trusting our own. Pastor Paula
