While we understand the community is outraged, we ask that everyone STAND DOWN. We have seen several comments on many high profile accounts saying that these men need to be dealt with and we agree, but it is NOT the communities job at this point. Retaliation leads to... bloodshed and tons of innocent people, children get hurt in the process. The best thing to do right now is let law enforcement do their job. Since the start of Covid-19, Street Corner Resources was one of the first organizations to hit the streets distributing masks and gloves, long before it was mandated. As a result, our Speak Peace Forward team members were named Social Distance Ambassadors by Mayor Bill Deblasio. We continue to stand against violence and encourage New York City residents to stay away from large gatherings, underground parties and cookouts. With the uptick of COVID-19 there has also been an i...ncrease of violence, most recently at a party. We encourage each you to help stop the spread and put an end to gun violence.
