Quilts tell stories. I’m partial to scrap quilts for just that reason. I’ve also never seen an ugly one. Before I knew anything about quilting, I made one for each of my kids out of sleepers, maternity clothes (happy to cut those), clothes they outgrew and pieces of blankets they loved. I still have them. And each piece brings a memory. This one I received as a wedding gift from two dear friends. I was in awe of the work involved. I’m more in awe of it now that I KNOW the wor...k involved! It wasn’t built from quilt shop purchases that we readily gravitate to. There are so many fabrics cut from shirts, pants, jackets, curtains... not a single, unifying color or fabric. Only heart. I recall them having very little as a couple, eachother and many friends, and always a pot of hot coffee on. They have both since passed away making this even more dear. It’s been riding with me in my vehicle for the last 10 years. Every time I look at it, I think of Donna and Les. There is always a story, always a tell. Don’t take what you see at face value. You could be missing out on a lot.

In the time of ever-changing rules and regulations, we're happy to finally have some consistency and regular hours. For the foreseeable future our normal hours... will be Wednesday through Sunday from noon to 6pm. Call 585-318-4418 to make a tasting reservation (remember - 6 people maximum) and be sure to bring your masks! With Blissetts being closed AT LEAST til April 1, I am postponing/cancelling appointments. I will be reviewing this in a week to week basis, if not day to day. If I have your gown be assured that it is safe and I will be working on them according to the wear date in case by some miracle all events are back on as planned. Frankly, it doesn’t look good. I’m not a gloom and doom person by nature, tho theoretically I tend to be a realist and strive not to be stupid about it. IF ...YOU PREFER I DO NOT CONTINUE WITH YOUR ALTERATIONS AT THIS TIME, please contact me through Facebook, phone or text. YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYMENT ON COMPLETED ALTERATIONS REGARDLESS OF WHETHER OR NOT THE EVENT IS CANCELLED. I will do all in my power to push back on this virus and I recommend you do the same.
