This year families in Brentwood, Central Islip and Bay Shore will have a brighter holiday. Suffolk County PAL Officer Ed Groce was among the participants handing out to over 400 familes; winter coats, toys, school supplies and canned goods during a drive-thru event at the PAL Complex on Clayton Street in Central Islip. In addition, 60 families without computers received a laptop or desktop from the non-profit group Technology for Families in Need and the Islip Town Branch of the NAACP. This event was made possible through collaborative efforts between Suffolk County Police Athletic League, Suffolk County Legislator Sam Gonzalez, the Islip Town Branch of the NAACP, Fly Money IcCollection and Zuess Designz.
