This photo/post from almost exactly 9 years ago to the day,. shows the exotic plant Eurasian Water Chestnut in Glenmere. Our group has been working painstakingly to pull water Chestnut from Glenmere (It's a plant that is easily-managed through hand-pulling). We witnessed the NJ-based pesticide applicators contracted by the Village actually throwing the little Rootstocks, knowns as "Devil's Heads" into the water where the plants were later found to be growing. Before anyone starts opining on Glenmere's actual problems and causes, ask questions to learn the real backstory, as the people who Floridians may think were trying to help them were really only looking at your drinking water as a cash cow.

A nice little group run by local wildlife ecologists, dedicated to sharing photos and interesting info on local wildlife, as well as organizing small photo safaris.
