Outside of work, Nick enjoys spending time with his wife and dog, playing music, and woodworking. See more

MDT Michael obtained his Bachelor of Physical Therapy degree at the University of Pittsburgh and his Bachelor of Exercise Science Degree at West Virginia University. ... Michael trained college and professional football players in performance enhancement skills before becoming a Physical Therapist. He has trained the West Virginia Mountaineers, the University of Pittsburgh and Pittsburgh Steelers and other professional players. He is one of the pioneers of the current concepts for improving pass protection skills for high school, college and professional football players. As a rehabilitation specialist Michael has consulted/treated high school and college athletes from all over the country. He has worked with strength athletes from all over the world as well as soldiers in Iraq. He has successfully rehabilitated professional football players and he consults with professional football and college strength coaches on knee, shoulder and spinal rehabilitation. He specializes in treating challenging patients that have shoulder, knee or spinal conditions that have previously failed to progress in Physical Therapy Michael also trains high-school, college & professional athletes on skill enhancement techniques He has lectured on the topics of shoulder/knee and spinal rehabilitation Has consulted with NFL players and NFL strength coaches on rehabilitation. Has consulted with Division I strength coaches from across the country. He is a co-owner of Summit and currently runs our Clay office!

Therapist Spotlight Dana Greene, PT, Dip. MDT, OCS Dana graduated from the Physical Therapy program at the University of Buffalo in 1986.... After attending the full series of courses offered by the McKenzie Institute, he went to the McKenzie Institute in New Zealand in 1990 where he successfully completed the residency training and received the Diploma in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT). Upon returning from New Zealand, he began to assist in the presentation of Robin McKenzie’s seminars on MDT. In 1992, he was appointed to the teaching faculty of the McKenzie Institute, USA He is presently one of only five senior instructors in the McKenzie Institute, USA. He has taught MDT to more than 5000 therapists throughout the United States. He was appointed as an International Instructor of the McKenzie Institute in 1998 and has taught MDT in Brazil and together with Robin McKenzie presented the inaugural McKenzie Institute course on the treatment of low back pain in China in 2000. Tuesday Tip Let's talk about ergonomics! If you work a desk job, whether you are continuing to work from home or in the office, check your desk set up. Here are some helpful tips:... The top of your computer screen should be at eye level. Computer monitor distance is set to arms length. Forearms should be parallel to the floor. Tailbone should be all the way back in the chair. Sit close to the desk (ears, shoulders and hips should be in line). Legs should be bent in 90 to 110 degree angle. Feet should be flat on the floor. Remember to break up sitting and get up and move when you can! See more
