I made some progress on the coal forge. In the pic it shows the air inlet and ash dump. The two inch tee is galvanized and it was used for mock up. it has been replaced with a black iron tee. The top is cut out of 1/4 inch plate thanks to my new Hypertherm plasma.
Happy New Year to all my FB friends! I am adding some signs that rose from my scrap pile in 2020 and we are sure to need in the coming days!
For a number of reasons I decided to build a portable coal forge. It is portable because it can be broken down into easily handled parts. Also when broken down it doesn't take up a lot of space. I started with the firepot. A friend provided me with some dimensions and the drop pile provided enough plate to fabricate the fire pot. Pictured is the basic fire pot. Angle iron will be welded around the perimeter for support. The fire pot will drop into a rectangular hole in the table.
T0 all my FB friends, Merry Christmas and Best Wishes for 2021!
This painting was done by my Mother in 1953. It is painted most likely with poster paint and on what looks like a piece of ceiling tile. RIP MOM you gave us this and much much more!
So this is day ten of the ten day challenge given to me by Dotty Banker. It has been a fun ride looking back through my archive and picking things to put online.... I very much appreciate all the "likes" and comments from my FB friends. The challenge will be passed along to another local artist. Starting with an Angel I will also end with an Angel as they hold a special place in my heart! THANKS EVERYONE! See more
This is day nine of ten of the artist's challenge offered by Dotty Banker!
