SUNY Ulster Theatre Department 01.02.2021

Dear community, This is hard to share and our hearts are heavy. John M. Dunnigan, a SUNY Ulster Theatre major from 2009-2011 has passed away. ... John was a gifted and incredible actor. You need to know this. Vulnerable always on stage and off, a beautiful performer and the kindest person. John performed in You Can’t Take it With You in 2010. John and I had many after class talks about his life and goals. When I first met him, at such a young age, he was losing his mom to an illness (I lost my dad in my 20’s and, yeah). John and I kept in touch over the years through social media. I loved his energy and honesty - still in tact - and I always sprinkled into the conversation - keep creating and own it all, you are a born performer. Own it. Keep creating, dancing, laughing and smiling. I’m sending all of my love to everyone that knew John at Ulster and beyond, and especially to his family. My deepest condolences to you all.
