Now more than ever it is apparent how important of a role research plays in the progression of the healthcare industry. Today, we are grateful for the researchers who work fervently to develop better ways for clinicians to serve the public’s health needs. Researchers not only abide by the highest of ethical standards, but also work behind the scenes every day to arm doctors with new medications, devices, and procedures to better allow them to care for their patients. Without their hard work, our future would not be as bright! Hope your holiday season is merry and bright! Swipe left to see who was covered in the jump picture! [Sorry Dr. Bui and Dr. Olszewski]
The CVRC wishes you all the best this holiday season! #happyholidays #SUNY #sunyoptometry
Get to Know the CVRC Team Edition: Meet Laura Medina, one of our work-study students! Although Laura joined the CVRC team this past year, she is no stranger in the field of clinical research. She was previously a research assistant and clinical research coordinator at the University of Pennsylvania. At the CVRC, she loves that she can collaborate and work together with fellow team members for a common goal. Her favorite nerdy hobby is listening to podcasts about science or finance. Her favorite late night snack is nachos with guacamole. If she could have a superpower, it’d be to stop time. Thank you Laura for being a vital member of the CVRC team!

Studies have shown that kids who spend more time outdoors are less likely to be myopic. Put on your shades, apply some sunblock, and go outside! Don’t forget to wear a mask!
Are you of Chinese, Korean, Japanese, or Mongolian descent? Do you wear contact lenses? If so, you may be eligible to participate in an investigational contact lens study! Subjects are compensated up to $300 for their time. Please contact us [email protected] to learn more about eligibility. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!... #contactlenses #lenses #vision #eyehealth #eye #healthcare #research #clinicalresearch #optometry #SUNYOptometry #SUNY
