Another New Happy Partner. We have just loaned a Paramobile to a local gentlemen that finished his rehab for a spinal injury and now a paraplegic. He is a Master Cabinet Maker who has trouble working in his shop due to the the standing required to work his tools and materials. This will be the 3rd partner we’ve gotten back to work! The Paramobile is NOT just a recreation machine, it’s a life changer!

Nothing better when you Godson and Nephew, embrace the Stand Up and Play Chapter so much that he submitted the chapters mission for a $3500 grant in one of the biggest financial firms in the world! One more approval and it’s our money! Thanks Bren! Does you company do this too?

Just received an exciting phone call from our Partner, Tom Paskewich! He is recuperating very well from his recent surgery!And he found time to ask for and secure a grant for $1,000 from the Saratoga Eagles club! They are the only fraternal/civic society to support us for this and the past 2 years! It comes with a cost however, their President wants Jackies secret potato salad recipe!

Stand Up and Play Par 3 Open! We were going to get together on Friday this week (tomorrow but the weather forecast isn’t going our way), so we are going to change it til Saturday. The only cost is $15 for the greens fee and we’ll determine Food, when we meet! Call or text Mark (518-423-3398) to reserve your spot. Meet at the Fairways shed at 9am Saturday!

A great way to end our season at the Capital District Stand Up and Play Golf Clinics. A skills competition! And everyone improved so much in Driving, Chipping and Putting! We were joined by a new member Troy he is a right sided stroke survivor (Jr. In HS), and proceeded to whup our butts in the long drive contest! He beat his Papa, Phil! By 10 yards. Phil is also a one handed golfer. Doctor Golf won the chipping and beat Mark by one stroke on the putting clock even with Coach... Karen trying to instill motivation in Mark with a beer! Next time Bourbon! We finished off with a great lunch at Peddlars Pub. Here’s a tip of the hat to all of our great volunteers and Coaches especially Jackie, Brian, Chuck, Anthony, Louis Jr., Dave and the owner and staff at the Fairways of Halfmoon for all their generosity and hospitality! Although the clinics have ended, we all agreed that it will leave more time for playing golf, and going fishing, bocce, hunting for the rest of the season!
